接替姚明担任中国篮协主席的是国家体育总局篮球运动管理中心中国篮协联合党委书记、中国篮协副主席郭振明，他自2022年初进入中国篮协，与姚明共事。郭振明曾任国家体育总局青少年体育司业余训练处处长。2017年4月，国家体育总局体操运动管理中心副主任。2022年12月，任第十届中国篮球协会副主席。
